The Department of History was started in 2008 when Government Degree College for women was started.
Vision:
The Department of History have many ideas to be realized in future taking support from the principal and every one concerned.

- To introduce Diploma Course in Tourism.
- To introduce regular coaching classes for competitive Examinations.
Mission:
The Department of History introduces students to the richness and complexity of the human experience through a curriculum covering all major geographic areas and time periods. We emphasize both the unity of the human experience and the diversity of culture, social, economic, gender ,political and individual differences throughout History.
Objectives:
- To improve ethics in student community, due to know the History of previous kingdoms. They will acquire knowledge regarding socio-economic problems.
- They will improve how to live in society and they will compare previous life of the people of their country .
- To learn about the freedom movement
